Our mapping software can present data in multiple dimensions: size, color, area, and height.
Users can customize these dimensions to any variables. For example, in a map of the stock market
like our award-winning Map of the Market,
the screen represents the equity market divided a three-level hierarchy of sectors, industries, and
individual companies.
The size of each company on the map could show its total market value or revenue, conveying a
sense of relative proportion and importance. Similarly, the color of each company
could represent values like P/E ratio or percent change in stock price. The resulting mosaic
shows trends and patterns, with hot market sectors appearing as easy-to-spot bright regions on the map.
We license the mapping software in three different products:
- Map Builder Java class library (Java 1.1) -
create a custom map to integrate with your website or application.
Includes 3D or 2D mapping capabilities as well as the ability to handle real-time updates.
Requires Java programming and is best suited to those who wish to make custom enhancements
to the existing functionality of our mapping software.
- Map Applet (Java 1.1) -
a portable Java applet which requires no Java programming. Fine tune the applet's display as well as
the data represented through standard HTML parameters.
- GeoMap (Java 1.1) -
an applet with advanced interactivity, displays data within the shape of a region like a country or state.
